OVCATA has been a voice for cyclists and all active transportation enthusiasts in the Ottawa Valley since 2016, advocating for safety and good conditions, bringing people together, and encouraging participation. We are all volunteers from all walks of life. We represent a wide range of ages and genders. Basically, we are just like most people but we have a dedication to promoting safe, active transportation and recreation in its many forms.

What do we do? 

• We advocate at all levels of governments for things like bike lanes, paved shoulders on roadways, trail networks and access points for active recreation.
• We help organize and promote active events such as the Tour de BeaverTails®, Tour de Bonnechere and Tour de Poutine. 
•  We develop, test and publish cycling routes on our free Ride With GPS information site.
• We collect and publish useful resources of interest to active people of all abilities.
• And many other things, all with an interest in keeping our area moving in an active way.
